Spartans Youth Baseball 10U stayed in it until the end, but Fredonia Bandits 10U pulled away late in a 9-7 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at seven with Fredonia Bandits 10U batting in the bottom of the fifth when Jaxon B singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.
Despite the loss, Spartans Youth Baseball 10U did collect six hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Fredonia Bandits 10U had 11 hits on the way to victory.
Fredonia Bandits 10U got things moving in the first inning. Kaison M grounded out, scoring one run.
Logan S got the start for Fredonia Bandits 10U. The righty allowed two hits and four runs over three innings, striking out six.
Connor L started the game for Spartans Youth Baseball 10U. Connor allowed five hits and three runs over three innings, striking out four. Carter L threw one and one-third innings in relief.
Arlo H went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Spartans Youth Baseball 10U in hits.
