A run here and a run there helped propel Spartans Youth Baseball 16U to a big win over South Buffalo Pride 16U on Saturday, 7-1
Spartans Youth Baseball 16U got things moving in the second inning, when Duke Snyder drew a walk, scoring one run.
Snyder earned the victory on the hill for Spartans Youth Baseball 16U. The hurler allowed four hits and one run over four innings, striking out six. David Schnaufer and Jaxon DelPriore entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Schnaufer recorded the last five outs to earn the save for Spartans Youth Baseball 16U.
DelPriore, Beau Slocum, and Trey Newton each managed one hit to lead Spartans Youth Baseball 16U. Spartans Youth Baseball 16U stole four bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Slocum led the way with two.
South Buffalo Pride 16U had five hits in the game. Kolden McCall and Gavin Pafk each managed multiple hits for South Buffalo Pride 16U.
