Spartans Can't Catch Up To Lancaster Devils
Spartans watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 15-8 loss to Lancaster Devils on Sunday. Lancaster Devils scored on a double by Tyler Eckl and a double by Brandon Budelewski in the first inning.
Duke Snyder collected four hits in defeat. Snyder singled in the second, doubled in the fourth, singled in the sixth, and singled in the seventh. Lancaster Devils fired up the offense in the first inning.
Spartans Youth Baseball scored three runs in the seventh inning. Hayden Williams and Snyder each had RBIs in the frame.
Leo Egloff took the loss for Spartans. The hurler went two innings, allowing eight runs on seven hits and striking out three. Spartans tallied 12 hits.
Snyder, Trey Newton, and David Schnaufer all managed multiple hits for Spartans. Snyder led Spartans with four hits in four at bats.
