Walk-Off Seals Win For Clarence Red Devils 14U Against Spartans Youth Baseball 14U


A walk-off left Spartans Youth Baseball 14U on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to Clarence Red Devils 14u on Friday. The game was tied at seven with Clarence Red Devils 14u batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run for Clarence Red Devils 14u.


Despite the loss, Spartans Youth Baseball 14U did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Clarence Red Devils 14u had 11 hits on the way to victory.


Mike McGrath led things off on the mound for Clarence Red Devils 14u. McGrath surrendered two runs on three hits over four innings, striking out four.


Austin Humphrey started the game for Spartans Youth Baseball 14U. The bulldog allowed nine hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking zero. Hayden Williams and Jayden Bridge entered the game as relief, throwing two-thirds of an inning and one-third of an inning respectively.


Spartans Youth Baseball 14U tallied nine hits in the game. Bridge, Humphrey, and Jaxon DelPriore each had multiple hits for Spartans Youth Baseball 14U. DelPriore, Humphrey, and Bridge each managed two hits to lead Spartans Youth Baseball 14U.


Clarence Red Devils 14u collected 11 hits. McGrath, Brody Kaufman, Aaron Colombo, and Ashton Anderson all managed multiple hits for Clarence Red Devils 14u.
