Spartans Youth Baseball 13U Drops Game to Curve 13U After Late Score


Spartans Youth Baseball 13U stayed in it until the end, but Curve 13U pulled away late in a 10-7 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at seven with Curve 13U batting in the top of the fifth when Cameron C singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.


Despite the loss, Spartans Youth Baseball 13U did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Curve 13U had 12 hits on the way to victory.


Spartans Youth Baseball 13U opened up an early lead in the first inning when Lucas H was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.


Spartans Youth Baseball 13U evened things up at seven in the bottom of the fourth inning. Player drew a walk, scoring one run.


Spartans Youth Baseball 13U scored three runs in the second inning. Spartans Youth Baseball 13U's offense in the inning came from a walk by Ryan S, a single by Lucas, and a double by Sean P.


Curve 13U scored five runs in the second inning. Curve 13U batters contributing to the big inning included Jayden P, Kurtis S, Zack K, R.J. M, and Jonathon K, who each had RBIs in the inning.


Callan M led things off on the hill for Curve 13U. Callan went two innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out five.


Devon W started the game for Spartans Youth Baseball 13U. The bulldog surrendered seven runs on eight hits over four innings, striking out four. Aiden H and Landon P entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.


Spartans Youth Baseball 13U racked up seven hits in the game. Aiden and Sean all collected multiple hits for Spartans Youth Baseball 13U. Sean and Aiden each collected two hits to lead Spartans Youth Baseball 13U. Spartans Youth Baseball 13U stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Aiden led the way with four.


Curve 13U totaled 12 hits. Zack, R.J., and Josh S all managed multiple hits for Curve 13U. Zack went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Curve 13U in hits. Curve 13U was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Cameron had the most chances in the field with ten. Curve 13U tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Zack led the way with four.
